​​Sue grew up in Melbourne and studied medicine at Monash University, where she undertook her PhD in endothelial dysfunction in diabetes, concurrent with clinical practice as an endocrinologist at Monash Medical Centre and the Jean Hailes Clinic for Women’s Health. Upon relocation to Canberra in 2002, local demand for management of thyroid disorders and thyroid cancer shaped her private practice, while her commitment to public and collegiate medicine underpinned her long-term appointment at The Canberra Hospital. At TCH she is a Senior Staff Specialist in general endocrinology and diabetes and also works in the metabolic/bone and diabetes in pregnancy clinics and is an active member of the thyroid cancer MDT. Sue enjoys walking with her husband and their two schnoodles, supporting their two adult children in their various pursuits (including driving her daughter and five horses to show-jumping events in her HR Scania truck) and spending time with her friends.​
