Ramila is a geriatrician who has an interest in maintaining functional state as people get older and have multiple co-morbidities, like dementia and osteoporosis. She was born in Sri Lanka and trained in both Sydney and Melbourne prior to moving to Canberra.

She currently also works with ACT health and has admitting rights to the National Capital Hospital and Canberra Private Hospitals.
